Parent Clinic

We added the parent clinic for all parents, agriculture teachers, and extension agents to come learn about showing cattle as well. We understand it takes a village to show, and we want to provide everyone the same opportunities. In this part of the clinic, staff will be discussing show attire, daily care, stall set up, basics of selecting a calf, how to practice for the show, what products to use, and many other things that surround showing cattle. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive feedback from well seasoned showmen.

What will be discussed in the parent clinic?

We will be going over everything from how to select a calf, what to wear in the show ring, and products to use with your calf. We will have guest speakers from several companies to educate parents about new products.

Who will be in charge of the parent clinic?

SWCC staff will be in charge of the parent clinic. All staff that are in charge of rotations are well seasoned in the show cattle industry. They will be there to cover material and answer questions from the audience.

Can I come if I am not a parent?

Yes, if you are a 4H leader, extension agent, or agriculture teacher you are more than welcome to come! We want all exhibitors to have equal opprunities when it comes to showing livestock. Just don't forget to specify your FFA Chapter/4H club when you sign up!

How much does it cost?

The parent clinic is 100% free!
